On Thursday, January 21, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, scientists, and other government regulators from across the Pacific Northwest will be meeting in The Dalles to discuss the latest developments in a region-wide effort to reduce toxics in the Columbia River. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and participate in this important meeting.

Presentations include speakers from Columbia Riverkeeper, Oregon State University, and the Oregon Department of Environmental Qulaity. CRK will discuss our recent work to reduce mercury pollution from air sources, which is a significant source of mercury in the Columbia. Presenters will also speak on reducing pesticide use in the Hood River Valley and The Dalles and the latest research on toxics monitoring in the Columbia River.
