Public Meeting: Hanford Cleanup Priorities

Join Columbia Riverkeeper on May 4 for the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) annual public meeting on the Hanford Nuclear Site’s cleanup priorities. After the meeting, a 30-day public comment opportunity opens until June 5. 

Why: This hybrid meeting is an illuminating opportunity to hear from DOE, Washington Department of Ecology, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on what they are prioritizing onsite. The meeting includes a Q&A opportunity to directly ask the agencies about their priorities for the Hanford cleanup.

When: Monday May 4, 2026 @ 5:30 p.m.
