  • Why: Oil company Global Partners wants to extend its DEQ permit for five more years. The permit would allow Global Partners to emit air toxic pollution. Global wants permission from Oregon DEQ to handle crude oil from the Bakken region or Alberta's tar sands. The company also seeks permission to ship renewable diesel and ethanol. Get informed and help us urge DEQ to deny Global's request to ship dirty, dangerous oil via rail through Columbia County, Portland, and Vancouver.
