- WHO: Kirsten Kapp is a researcher and professor of biological sciences and math at Central Wyoming College. Her research focuses on microplastic pollution in freshwater ecosystems and includes a study on microplastic hotspots on the Snake and Columbia rivers. Notably, she co-authored the recent groundbreaking study that identifies laundry dryer vents as a significant source of plastic microfiber pollution. Her research findings were featured in Forbes Magazine.
