Multnomah \nTodd Hanna has been working in fisheries for 40 years\, including teaching fisheries courses and serving as program director and as a faculty advisor in the Fisheries Technology program at Mt. Hood Community College (MHCC) for the past 28 years.\nKatie Holzer is a Watershed Scientist with the City of Gresham where she conducts studies of stormwater pollution and how to mitigate it. She has a PhD in Ecology and has been studying human/wildlife coexistence for over 20 years. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:Yakama Nation’s ERWM Program & Columbia Riverkeeper present the Hanford Journey.\nJoin us along the Hanford Reach to learn more about Hanford Nuclear Site Cleanup. \nWho: Hosted by Yakama Nation’s Environmental Restoration Waste Management Program and Columbia Riverkeeper.  \nWhat: Join us for a day of experiential learning and knowledge sharing. Boat tours will look for salmon spawning activities and glide past reactors\, while guides discuss cleanup updates; after a catered lunch\, speakers will discuss salmon\, cleanup\, and the future of the site; and a hike at White Bluffs will remind participants that Hanford has a future worth fighting for.  \nWhen: Friday\, October 23\, 2026 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. \nWhere: Vernita Safety Rest Area\, 48 SR-24\, Sunnyside\, WA 98944 \nHow: Fill out the required RSVP form below.
