Join us in supporting key legislation to help safeguard and protect the Columbia River and other waterways in Washington state.

Organized by the Center for Environmental Law and Policy and Waterkeepers Washington (Puget Soundkeeper, Columbia Riverkeeper, North Sound Baykeeper, Spokane Riverkeeper, and Twin Harbors Waterkeeper), the Clean and Abundant Waters Lobby Day is an opportunity for community members from throughout Washington to learn about bills impacting the health of our waters, how to advocate and lobby for these bills, and to engage on these issues face-to-face with your district representatives.

For the 2020 legislative session, we are focused on five legislative priorities: Plastic Bag Ban (SB 5323 / HB 1205), Copper Antifouling Paint Ban (SB 6210 / HB 2385), Motorized/Suction Dredge Mining Ban (SB 5322 / HB 1261), Ecology Drought Preparedness Response Bill (HB 1622 / SB 5675), and the Clean Energy and Resilience Financing Bill (SB 6222 / HB 2405).  For more information, click here for fact sheets on these bills.
