ACT: Object to Hanford Cleanup Delays

We have until June 23 to tell the TPA Agencies that these new changes are nowhere near protective enough.

Have you heard about the new Tri-Party Agreement (TPA) milestone changes that will delay removal and disposal of long-lived radioactive waste at the Hanford Nuclear Site? Together, the U.S. Dept. of Energy, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Washington Dept. of Ecology (collectively referred to as the "TPA Agencies") have agreed to delay shipping Hanford’s dangerous Transuranic Mixed  (TRUM) Waste off-site to a deep geological repository in New Mexico until 2050.

We have until June 23 to tell the TPA Agencies that these new changes are nowhere near protective enough. Sign the petition today!
Act Now

We are asking that the agencies tackle TRUM Waste head-on, delaying the deadline for waste removal until 2050 just kicks the can down the road, setting the stage to leave this hazardous, chemical waste at Hanford indefinitely.
