Rachel Mireles, Field Manager
Originally from a small town in New Mexico, Rachel's first experience with non-profit work included making quilts for foster children in the area. From there she continued to work with other groups ranging from banning plastic bags to helping at food banks. She takes extreme pride in being part of a larger group of organizers dedicated to both educating the public and making concrete change.
Riverkeeper’s team includes scientists, environmental lawyers, and community organizers. We work to organize and empower local communities, enforce environmental laws, and build strategic coalitions. Our mission is to protect and restore the Columbia River and all life connected to it.
