Vancouver Fossil Fuel Moratorium

Support City of Vancouver Standing Up for Our Climate

Right now, the Vancouver City Council and staff are working on a new policy to address large-scale fossil fuel terminal risks. The Council and staff need six more months to study the right policy. That’s why the Vancouver City Council will vote on December 6, 2021, to decide whether to extend the current moratorium.

The Council has received pressure to water down (or abandon altogether) its large-scale fossil fuel terminal policy from Big Oil’s mouthpiece in our region, the Western States Petroleum Association (WSPA).

Join us to make sure the City Council hears community support for its moratorium and effort to sculpt a long-term policy. Let’s give them the time they need to get this right.
