When we fight together, we win. This year alone, Columbia Riverkeeper notched important victories that benefit clean water, communities, and our climate. Your partnership makes victories for clean water and our climate possible.
The threats to the Columbia River and our communities are serious. Data centers’ insatiable need for energy and water threaten the river (and much more), important Tribal cultural sites are targeted for energy development, and the federal government is gutting the environmental protections that keep our families safe.
But we have opportunities to defend what we love, and even strengthen state and local protections for clean water and the climate. Now, more than ever, your support makes a difference for everyone who relies on the Columbia.
Your donation powers critical work, including:
- Advocacy to address the growing impacts of data centers on our climate, rivers, and salmon recovery.
- Lawsuits to stop federal environmental rollbacks and pollution from flowing into the Columbia and its tributaries.
- Creative strategies to secure laws and policies that protect everyone who relies on the Columbia and locally caught fish.
- Work in solidarity with Tribes who are fighting for salmon recovery and Hanford Nuclear Site cleanup.
- Strategic litigation and community organizing to protect our climate from refineries and dirty-energy infrastructure, including new proposals to build gas pipelines in Washington.
