Washington Rejects Dirty Methanol Refinery!

Governor Inslee and the Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology) once again stood up for the Columbia and the climate by saying “no” to a massive methanol refinery in Kalama, WA.
The fracked gas-to-methanol refinery would have caused significant climate pollution and hurt Washington’s ability to meet its carbon-reduction goals. It also threatened the Columbia River and the community of Kalama with pollution, eminent domain, and pipeline safety risks.
