Thank Portland’s decision makers for saying NO to Zenith’s oil-by-rail terminal!
The City of Portland has denied Zenith’s request for a Land Use Compatibility Statement (LUCS)! Without a LUCS, Zenith cannot renew its air permit with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and must shut down its operations. Join us in thanking the City’s decision makers for putting our health and safety above the oil industry’s profits.
Dear Director Esau and City Council Members:
Thank you for taking bold action to protect our communities and our environment from the threats of oil-by-rail by denying Zenith’s Land Use Compatibility Statement (LUCS). We appreciate your decision to prioritize the health and safety of our communities over the oil industry’s profits. This critical decision is an important step in putting an end to dirty, dangerous fossil fuels and moving us toward a cleaner, healthier future.
You can make a big difference for clean water. Your donation will power victories to protect the places you love.
