Governor Ferguson: No New Gas Pipelines

Tell Governor Ferguson to oppose Williams’ proposals for new methane gas pipelines in Washington.

Governor Ferguson:

Thank you for your leadership fighting gas expansion as Washington’s Attorney General. Now, our region faces an even greater threat: Williams’ proposals for two new gas pipelines, bringing 246 billion cubic feet of new gas to Washington each year. Burning this gas would emit 13.5 million metric tons of carbon dioxide per year and increase Washington’s emissions by about 14%.

These pipelines would increase air pollution in overburdened communities, threaten water quality, and harm highly sensitive areas like the Columbia River Gorge.

It is unacceptable for data centers to derail our region’s climate progress. New gas pipelines have no place in the Northwest. The short term profits of greedy corporations are not worth sacrificing clean water, clean air, and healthy communities.

Pull the plug on Williams’ pipe dreams by opposing the Rockies Columbia Connector and Valley Trail projects.

Thank you,
