Alex (he/him) works to build long-lasting, meaningful relationships with supporters through his role as the Development Manager, while facilitating member funding to pursue the organization’s strategic goals. Alex began his career with Columbia Riverkeeper in 2014 as a Grassroot Outreach Canvasser, providing one on one education in communities along the Columbia, as well as fundraising for the organization.
What inspires you to do this work?
Future generations and engaging communities about our work. When people realize they can make an impact, and that together we can create positive change for future generations, no matter how insurmountable the issue may seem. That moment of understanding is truly inspiring.
Riverkeeper’s team includes scientists, environmental lawyers, and community organizers. We work to organize and empower local communities, enforce environmental laws, and build strategic coalitions. Our mission is to protect and restore the Columbia River and all life connected to it.
