About the public meeting:

The Department of Energy has issued a 30-day public comment period from June 9 through August 18, 2025. This extension came after requests from Columbia Riverkeeper, Heart of America Northwest, and Hanford Challenge. Energy is holding a hybrid public meeting June 30, at 5:30 p.m. PT, at the Richland Public Library, 955 Northgate Drive, Richland, WA 99352. It will include a presentation on the proposed plan along with a question-and-answer session.

All comments must be submitted by July 9, in writing:

At the conclusion of the 30-day public comment period, DOE and EPA will address public comments and publish a responsiveness summary in the amended record of decision.
