Columbia Riverkeeper talks fracked gas pipeline climate impacts

August 10, 2022
By Ana Molina, Field Organizer

TC Pipeline, the company that brought you Keystone XL Pipeline, proposes to add 250 million cubic feet per day of fracked gas capacity to its GTN pipeline that spans British Columbia, Idaho, Washington State, Oregon, and California. The project could emit 3 million metric tons of greenhouse gas equivalent. Sounds like a lot!

Thank you to those who could attend our 8/9 webinar about the Pacific Northwest’s latest fracked gas threat. We are so excited to see how passionate people are about joining us in stopping this GTN Xpress Pipeline. If you missed the webinar, watch it here:

We hope you can take action with us on this campaign:

  1. Sign our petition to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and share it with others.
  2. Submit a letter to the editor to your local newspaper.
